NotesBuilding a public notebook

Public notes need a different level of care than private notes. The structure can stay lightweight, but the reading path needs more intention.

A public note should feel like a finished room, not a pile of index cards.

The useful constraint is to keep the source material plain and close to the tool you already use. In this project, that means writing in Obsidian and publishing through a static site build.

From there, a few things matter:

  • notes need durable URLs
  • tags should help discovery without becoming taxonomy theater
  • internal links should stay easy to author

The other note that shaped this setup is Obsidian as infrastructure.
